The resources described below employ an interdisciplinary approach to learning. Presentations and instructional materials can be adapted to address the learning needs of students from elementary school through high school. Maine Learning Results Standards (MLRS) and Common Core State Standards (CCSS) are noted in the descriptions to assist with meeting curriculum requirements.
Louise Miller, LCHA’s Education Director has created several educational booklets and resources on specific topics for teachers to use in their lesson-planning. Louise’s extensive resource booklets include Settlement and the War Years (1700s); The 1800s: A Century of Highs and Lows; and Be There: Stepping Into History. These booklets are password protected.
